Dear Mavericks,
As we’ve pivoted from Dubai-23 being the centrepiece of the Mavericks project, we’re working on building the Mavericks community and delivering on our promise to play the role of connecting people who share a common worldview while delivering tangible real-world solutions.
We see the Mavericks’ role in connecting …
- firstly people who share a common worldview,
- Secondly connecting people (members) with projects that provide insurance optionality on residencies, banking, food and energy,
- third connecting the Mavericks global community with local grassroots communities, linking into projects where our group might add value either through support and/or linking with other groups around the world, where we can possibly add capital and expertise.
As part of this goal, we plan to run these Get to know the Mavericks series every two weeks, across time zones that provide everyone the opportunity to join into one of the webinars.
It’s an opportunity for new members or those who weren’t able to make the last webinar to come and hear from the Mavericks team what we’re working on, to introduce themselves and what they’re working on plus ask questions, discuss and debate. Of course, those who joined last time are more than welcome again, the discussion is fluid and different with each event.
Don’t despair tho! We haven’t lost sight of the importance of in-person meetups and we are working on these also, they’ll be smaller, localised and improtue to start with, however we’ll eventually build towards a large-scale Mavericks meetup.
Lastly on tech, we run these webinars on Zoom, because that is the most convenient option for everyone at the moment. BUT rest-assured, we have a tech team who are working on a privacy oriented, decentralised video and chat platform, we hope it’ll be ready for the next round of webinars at the end of Sept. If you have some experience in this arena, please reach out, we’d love to hear from you.
