… then join Michael, Marco, Andrew and the Mavericks crew in Switzerland this Spring.
We will get together to discuss concrete, actionable steps to build privacy, autonomy, and financial resiliency in Europe; we will visit (and learn everything about) the Monte Brè freedom cell that was featured in the Planet Lockdown documentary; we will learn about other communities and pockets of freedom in Europe, and mastermind solutions on how to pool resources together and prep individually against potential crisis.

HOTEL
Locarno is a stunning place and has a fair share of tourism going on. If you’re planning to join, it’s best to book well in advance. There are plenty of excellent accommodation options: The Belvedere (mention it is a booking for the Mavericks event and you will get a discount), the Case di Sotto, the Stella, and of course the wide array of options on Airbnb, Booking and E-Domizil.

SWISS AMBASSADOR MEETUP // 23-26TH MAY
Day 0, May 23 — Welcome Drinks
We will kick off on the 23rd of May for those who arrive early. We will gather all on a social evening with drinks and bites and nice place in Locarno – Place to be announced soon.
Day 1, May 24 — Resistance in Action
- Discuss the state of the world and how recent political movements are likely to impact Mavericks in Europe
- The role that gold and crypto can play in your financial sovereignty strategy
- Strategies to living without Big Tech
- Pockets of freedom and community building in Europe?
Day 2, May 25 — Nature, Friends, Freedom Cell in the Swiss Alps
Relish the stunning mountain surroundings of the Locarno and Ascona region, from the “balcony over Locarno”, Cimetta, Cardada and Monte Brè sopra Locarno. We will start in the morning with a cable car and chair lift ride up to Cimetta. We will have lunch at the top of the mountain, and walk down to the freedom cell in Monte Brè. We will hangout with the freedom-fighter techies there, and meet people from other freedom cell communities in Switzerland
Day 3, May 26 – Personal & Local Resilience in Europe
The last day will focus on actions and solutions to build resilience in Europe. Main solutions will revolve around:
- Simple, actionable principles to secure your digital privacy
- Building your own freedom cell
- Shared resources to build communities around Europe
The day will close with a nice dinner and drinks nearby.

We encourage participants to bring your partners along to this event, many of the topics we discuss and the decisions we are making affect our loved ones. While they may not want to sit through the entire mastermind series, however being part of the social events and meeting some of your like-minded yet crazy friends, is an empowering process.

About our ambassadors
MARCO RICCA
Marco is a telecommunication engineer by background, a cyber-security entrepreneur by trade. He founded and successfully exited several cyber-security startups. Ten years ago, he “went Galt” and founded a freedom cell in the Swiss Alps, which was featured in the 2021 documentary Planet Lockdown, and which has become a refuge for sovereign, productive individuals seeking beauty and liberty. Since 2020, he has been providing IT services to dissenting organizations that were being challenged, in the context of the pseudo-pandemic, with new cyber-threats (censorship, surveillance, and hacking). He brings very concrete experience on the modus operandi of secession, be it on a technical, physical, intellectual, moral, or spiritual level.
MICHAEL KORTENBUSH
Michael is a financial strategist and entrepreneur committed to building financial systems that empower the individual and break dependencies on centralized controls. As the founder of Business & Finance Consulting (BFC), he has spent over two decades helping small businesses, agricultural producers, and underserved communities gain financial independence. Rejecting the notion that finance should only serve the powers that be, Michael creates value-driven, sustainable solutions that prioritize individual freedom over profit. His mission is clear: challenge centralized systems; break down barriers; foster self-reliance.
