Dear Mavericks,
Gold is running like the police are after it.
While most investors — both institutional and retail — have been chasing Nvidia and other Mag 7 stocks, gold is actually beating NVIDIA over the last 12 months. Funny, heh?!
And it’s not ticking higher only in dollar terms. If you’ve been reading Chris’ Insider Newsletter, you know that gold is hitting new all-time highs (or near enough) in every major currency… even as stocks and crypto are going off a cliff.
With all the batisht crazy stuff going on in the geopolitical arena right now, these moves shouldn’t be a surprise.
And all this only underscores the fact that owning some shiny, yellow metal in your portfolio makes a helluva lot of sense. After all, gold is one of the few assets where you can eliminate the counterparty risk and that the central planners cannot prop up with money printing.
But we’re not writing this note to educate you on gold — since you’re part of Mavericks, you already know all this.
Rather, we want to bring your attention to a special new benefit of your membership.
As we mentioned a few weeks ago (when we announced our first special partnership), we’ve been busy working on new member perks.
We want to make sure the value you get from your membership more than makes up for the modest membership fee. Or to put it simply, we want your Mavericks membership to make you money.
Now, what does that have to do with gold, you might ask?
We just partnered up with Strategic Wealth Preservation (or SWP for short). You might already be familiar with them, but if not, here’s the skinny…
SWP is a precious metals dealer and storage company based in the Cayman Islands and with storage facilities in the Cayman Islands as well as Canada, the United States, Switzerland, Singapore, Dubai, and New Zealand.
As a paid Maverick member, you get to benefit from preferred rates on precious metals storage. Specifically, Mavericks get rates typically only extended to investors who store at least $1 million worth of precious metals with SWP.
The special rates are 0.4% for gold, platinum, and palladium and 0.65% for silver, regardless of the dollar value of your holdings. You can see more details in the graphic below (the special Mavericks rates are circled in red).
As you can also see, Mavericks get a discount of up to 30 percentage points, which adds up to nice savings.
As a simple example, let’s say you’re looking to store $100,000 worth of gold and $100,000 worth of silver with SWP.
Typically, you’d be looking to pay $1,650 in storage fees per year ($700 for gold and $950 for silver).
But as a Maverick, your storage fees drop to $1,050 per year ($400 for gold and $650 for silver).
You can use the difference to pay for a nice steak dinner and a bottle of Argentinian Malbec (and probably still have enough left to cover your Mavericks membership for another year). Just an idea…
As we emphasised in an email a few weeks ago — we are committed to rolling out special member perks and discounts for Mavericks and making the current annual membership fee seem laughable compared to the tangible benefits you get as a member (and that’s not to mention the amazing people you get to surround yourself with as part of the Mavericks network).
