Dear Mavericks,
We’re hosting a small, informal and casual get-together in Dubai on the 4th November, but let’s talk firstly about how great the past month has been for Mavericks!
Since the recent launch of the Mavericks Project, we’ve had more personal connections and get-togethers than we anticipated. It’s been truly enriching.
In September we had a great meetup in London with a great turnout and interesting conversations. One of the most fascinating outcomes of the London meetup was that everyone who attended either knew no-one else or one other person, yet the energy was as if we were old friends. Which takes us back to our work on the brand identity and our website; ” We may not yet know each other, but when we come together, our life’s journey resonates and brings us together in a way that predates modernity.” As Andrew said, that realization alone was amazing! It was a really great crowd!
Then, last week, we had another small but intense get-together in Georgia. I (Denisa) have to mention something about Georgia: as a hardcore AnCap my immediate thought was “there’s a beacon of hope for a new free-oriented land”. It’s a big statement and I don’t want to get carried away, but the signs I see are extremely encouraging to say the least. A dedicated report should be written about Georgia but for now I’ll say this: it has a high quality of life (excellent wine, beautiful landscapes, real, tasty food, abundant fresh water, foreigner-friendly people), unique and very interesting cultural legacy and ancient traditions that are still being followed which makes it naturally NON-woke, strong currency and solid economic growth, but most importantly, it has been founded by libertarians – for example the leading brokerage house, subsidiary of Bank of Georgia, is named Galt & Taggart and established by Lado Gurgenidze, a free oriented Georgian banker. No wonder some of the Mavericks in our group chose it as their residency hub and some others are seriously considering it. If you haven’t looked into Georgia, by all means check it out.
Now, to the next one.
The upcoming get-together is in Dubai. There are a few Mavericks who’ll be around during the same time so we thought of hosting a get-together on November 4th in Dubai.
Details:
- When? November 4th
- Where? We’re planning to meet at one of Dubai’s famous polo clubs for a long lunch and afternoon discussions. That may extend into more adventures / exploration activities based on preference/ appetite / time
- Format? Extra Casual. Enjoy some good food, drinks, watch a polo game if we’re lucky and most importantly enjoy good company.

- Accommodation. For anyone interested, we have very good room rates negotiated at One & Only Hotel in Dubai Marina. If you’d like to get accommodation there, again, let Denisa know.
